Japanese Expertise Meets Modern Forging

Yamanaka Engineering India Pvt Ltd views the inaugural MF India as a valuable opportunity to connect with new customers in Southern India and aims to introduce cutting-edge Japanese cold forging technologies.

Yamanaka Engineering India was established to serve automotive parts manufacturers, OEMs, and Tier 1 and Tier 2 suppliers across India. “We see the inaugural MF India as a valuable opportunity to engage directly with new customers, particularly in South India,” says Masahito Yamanaka, President, Yamanaka Eng Co, Ltd. “Through this exhibition, we aim to develop new customer relationships and, in the future, establish a stronger local after-sales and technical support network.”

Improving Material Yield Through Cold Forging

One major advantage of Yamanaka Engineering’s cold forging technology is its ability to achieve near-net-shape production compared with processes mainly using warm or hot forging followed by machining. This helps reduce the amount of material discarded as flash and machining chips.

“In addition, extending die life can reduce losses associated with frequent die replacement,” explains Masahito. “These advantages allow manufacturers to improve material yield without compromising productivity, which directly contributes to cost competitiveness amid rising material prices.”

Six Decades of Forging Expertise

The company’s key strength is the cold forging technology and expertise developed in Japan over the past 60 years. “We help customers address challenges such as short die life caused by wear and cracking, variations in dimensional accuracy, and difficulties in independently developing new forged products,” shares Masahito.

“At MF India, we aim to introduce advanced Japanese cold forging technologies and contribute to raising quality standards among MSMEs and OEMs.”

By combining its technical expertise, extensive experience, and customer-focused support, Yamanaka Engineering works closely with customers to solve their forging and tooling challenges and improve their manufacturing capabilities.

Bringing Japanese Tech to Indian Metal Forming

Masahito believes that the first dedicated metal forming exhibition in India has great significance for the industry. “Yamanaka Engineering has participated in MF TOKYO in Japan since its first edition in 2009,” he says. “At MF India, we aim to introduce advanced Japanese cold forging technologies and contribute to raising quality standards among MSMEs and OEMs.”

The company hopes that its technologies will help manufacturers respond to increasing demands for precision and cost competitiveness, supporting transformation across India’s metal forming industry.
