According to G Venu, Chairman, MF INDIA 2026, the rapid advancements in metal forming, stamping, fabrication technologies, and allied sectors had evolved into a highly specialized and fast-growing segment of manufacturing. “They required a dedicated platform where technology providers, manufacturers and buyers could connect, collaborate and explore focused business opportunities,” he says.
He adds that MF INDIA has been conceived not only to create focused business opportunities but also to accelerate technology adoption, support indigenous manufacturing and strengthen the growth of MSMEs, contributing to India’s ambition of becoming a global manufacturing hub.
Bringing Technology Closer to South India
Launching the inaugural edition in Chennai was a strategic decision. South India has evolved into one of the country’s strongest manufacturing regions, driven by significant investments across automotive, aerospace, defence, railways, electrical equipment and precision engineering. Yet despite its industrial strength, the region lacked an exhibition dedicated exclusively to metal forming technologies.
“Many industries had to travel to other cities to explore specialized machinery and connect with technology providers. MF INDIA brings that opportunity to their doorstep while strengthening the manufacturing ecosystem of the region,” Venu explains.

By bringing leading machine manufacturers and technology providers under one roof, MF INDIA aims to expose smaller manufacturers to scalable automation and digital manufacturing solutions that can improve productivity without necessarily requiring immediate large-scale investments.
